Project experience at Eckersley Oxford - English through performing arts

Ms Jo Horne, singer and song writer, was our guest at the latest project presentation held on 16 May 2008. Ms Jo Horne who is contracted to Amrak music, Sweden, has been writing and performing in the UK and abroad for quite some years. The students from Contursi Terme concluded a three-week project organised by EckersleyOxford… another great success!
EckersleyOxford has been running successful ‘English through Performing Arts’ courses for some time. Students find the course enjoyable, stimulating and rewarding.
The benefits of the course for the participants are many, the most obvious being: the cultural and educational experience of living in another country, the widening of their appreciation of drama techniques, and the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the English language through the medium of drama.
Our students from Contursi also formed a band called The Eleven Angels and recorded in a professional studio a song written with the help of their Eckersley teachers.
