Oxford is famous as one of the oldest university cities in
the world.
Students in
Oxford enjoy the many green spaces where you can have a
picnic, play frisbee, tennis or football or just relax. If
you feel active, you can also walk to the top of South Park
to see the famous view of Oxford’s spires.
There are plenty of theatres in Oxford offering ballet,
opera, drama and comedy shows so there’s something for
everyone.
Oxford offers great shopping facilities, from the well-known
High Street names, modern shopping centres and malls to the
interesting Victorian covered market.
When it comes to eating out or having a drink with friends,
you will find restaurants and pubs for all ages and tastes.
There is a wide choice, from coffee houses through to
gourmet restaurants and from ancient pubs to wine bars.
Being in Oxford means that students have a safe environment
and can enjoy the many attractions of such a beautiful and
famous city.
It also means that you are never very far from anywhere
else: London is only 50 minutes away by train, Wales is
about 2 hours from us and there's plenty of choice if you
fancy a day by the sea. Even Scotland is not too far to go
for a weekend. |
