Eckersley Oxford was founded in 1955 by the current
Partners, John and Angela Eckersley.
Since then of course the world has changed and the school,
whilst always maintaining its famous name and reputation for
quality, is firmly leading the way in terms of technology.
We did, for example, installed a state-of-the-art
language laboratory supplied by TELEVIC. This digital
equipment takes the place of the old analogue laboratory and
will be central to the development of our new online and
blended programmes.
We are also replacing our white boards with interactive
boards all of which are connected to the school’s wireless
network.
So you see, our motto: our past building your future,
is the reality!
Our ethos is one of providing the best possible educational
and social experience for students in a friendly, helpful
and professional environment. 2008 will see the introduction
of new social programmes designed to offer something for
everyone whatever your age, whatever your background.
As well as the continuation of our regular courses, we are
delighted to be able to offer ever more flexibility in
response to our clients’ needs. We are now offering an
overseas service which means that our trainers will travel
to your country and run programmes there. This of course can
be a very economical option for groups on a tight budget. So
far we have offered this service for teacher-training groups
but we are now expanding to make the service available for
language students too.
As the new Principal of EckersleyOxford, I look forward very
