The office is right by
the front door of the school and provides many useful
services for the students. The school office staff are ready
to help you, and answer your questions.
Airport Meeting Service
When you enrol, please tell us if you want a car to meet you
at the airport. We can book this for you and then tell you
the name of the taxi company and how to meet the driver. It
costs 140 GBP from London Heathrow to your host family, 160 GBP from Birmingham or London Luton, 170 GBP
from London Gatwick, and 200 GBP from Stansted or London City airport.
Excursions
There are excursions to places of interest outside Oxford
every Saturday (and Sundays in the summer). For example:
London, Bath, Warwick, Brighton, Cambridge, Isle of Wight
and even Scotland. You can reserve your place at the office
during the week beforehand.
The average cost is 32 GBP which includes entrances and
guided tours. The excursion leaves from a bus stop close to
the school.
Faxing
You can ask the school office to send a fax for you.
Airline
tickets
You may need to confirm your return flight at the end of the
course. We are very happy to do this for you.
Library books
The school has a library with books to read, magazines and reference books. If you want to take a book, CD or DVD out of the school, you just need to register it, like a real library!
Phone cards
Phone cards of 5 GBP can be bought at the school and you can use the
public telephone in the entrance hall.
Banking
If you want to open a bank account, the school office will
arrange for a letter to be written to the bank.
It is also possible to keep some pocket money in the school
account, and ask for cash when you need it.
Theatre
The school is situated between two theatres in the centre of
Oxford. We are able to get tickets at a reduced price for
the opera, shows, ballet and plays. You can reserve your
ticket at the office (we usually go together as a group).
Doctor or
dentist
If you need an appointment at the doctor or the dentist, we
can arrange it for you.
Weekends
If you need advice on where to go at weekends, car hire
booking, have questions about trains or buses....just ask!
