Every Monday at 15.00 we have a welcome tea party for new students so that you can meet teachers, other staff and students of other levels of English.
Our social organiser plans different social events each week, sometimes in the school and sometimes around Oxford. Most social activities are free but sometimes you may be asked to pay a small charge when an entrance fee applies.
The programme will depend on the time of year and the age range of students in the school, but some typical events include:
a guided visit to a museum or a University college
a barbecue in the gardens of our residence
an evening in one of Oxford's historical pubs
a picnic in the nearby University Parks
sporting events such as football, cricket, rounders and frisbee
an international food evening in the school
a drama or music workshop
a film on the big screen in the students' room
a quiz night
a ghost tour
excursions
If you want to go somewhere at the weekend, we can book trips to London ot other interesting places such as
Stonehenge, Bath, Cambridge, Wales, the Cotswolds or Brighton on the south coast.
Booking is through the school and the average price is 32 GBP.
We can help you to organise a trip to another European country, up to Scotland or across to Wales.
